Using a variety of manual tools and machinery, you will be responsible for meticulously refining and perfecting the surfaces of our products, removing any excess materials, and achieving a superior level of polish.  This role is physically demanding and is well-suited for individuals who derive satisfaction from delivering exceptional work.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Your Responsibilities

  • ·         Grind welds from aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel components.
  • ·         Sand to a polishable finish on aluminum and stainless-steel components
  • ·         Polish aluminum and stainless-steel components to a mirror finish
  • ·         Conduct quality inspections throughout the polishing process
  • ·         Complete production records, quality reports, and other required documentation accurately
  • ·         Strictly adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications: 

  • ·         Previous experience with hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and polishers
  • ·         Experience working in a manufacturing, construction or industrial environment is ideal
  • ·         This role requires long periods of standing and the requirement to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ·         Proficiency in performing tasks within a work setting with elevated temperatures, dust, and high noise levels
  • ·         Able to wear a full-face respirator while working
  • ·         Must own safety boots
  • ·         Reliable transportation, as HERD is not accessible via public transportation routes

 

Day Shift:  Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Evening Shift:  Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm
